Advanced manufacturing technicians set up, test, and calibrate manufacturing machinery or equipment using any combination of electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and computer technologies. Graduates of this program will be prepared for careers including advanced manufacturing technician, mechanical technician, mechatronics technician, maintenance process technician, electrical service technician, quality services, and more.
This simulation demonstrates the advantages of Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques over traditional production methods, by utilizing continuous improvement. The simulation consists of five different phases. By working through the five phases, participants can see the power of the tools to create a safer workplace, eliminate waste, maximize throughput, minimize losses, minimize inventory, improve productivity, and improve quality.
