Everything you need is inside β project materials, build guides, and course access. Just open the box and get started. Some projects may require a few common household items like scissors or tape.
STEM 101 kits go beyond simple experiments. Students build, problem-solve, and apply real concepts used in engineering, technology, coding, design, and other future-ready fields β through hands-on projects that make learning practical and engaging.
Each kit combines hands-on assembly with guided learning experiences that help students connect what theyβre building to the real-world concepts behind it.
From engineering and robotics to coding, design, and applied science, STEM 101 kits introduce students to the kinds of skills and thinking used in todayβs fastest-growing industries.
Every kit includes 1-year access to the STEM 101 online course β with video lessons, guided instruction, project walkthroughs, and support resources for parents and teachers.
Designed for classrooms, homeschool families, and after-school programs. Standards-aligned, reusable across students, and built to fit how teachers and families actually learn and teach.
"I love these kits because of how they teach you with interaction and different sources of media to help you with your learning. I personally loved the digital Multimeter because of how before this I didn't understand how people knew howmany voltz there were on electrical outlets. I also figured out the different measurement types and how to add them. This experience made me truly amazed."
"I really liked this kit. It was tricky at first but then it got easier. Really like the digital multimeter and the measure tools I feel like this is really going to help me in the real world one day. I had so much fun doing this."
"The kits have brought more critical thinking,Β creativity, hands-on learning, collaborative learning, sharing,Β and helpfulness into my classroom. Classes that are some of my most chaotic are the most calm and thoughtful while working on these kits. The classroom tends to be quieter than usual, the students that tend to finish last normally are the early finishers and the students that work their way around the classroom helping others, and each student has a strength that they get to demonstrate that would have otherwise gone undiscovered." - Ms. Ingvalson, Northside Elementary & Coulee Montessori
"The students' favorite aspect of the kits is that they get to build something that actually works and that they get to take home to show off! Last year I had a student who insisted that one of the rooms he was in listen to music using the speaker that he built because he was that excited about building it! Another student let me know all of the songs that they had learned on their ukulele once they got to take their instrument home." - Ms. Ingvalson, Northside Elementary & Coulee Montessori
This project provides hands-on learning experience, guided by our Learning Management Software. It includes a one-year student subscription to the course and materials necessary for an individual student to complete the project. Within the online course, you'll find step-by-step video instructions, lesson videos, and additional activities to help students raise state testing and ACT scores, and a certification portion that allows students to earn a micro-credential.

Follow the step-by-step video lessons at your own pace. Students assemble projects, explore concepts, and apply real STEM skills through hands-on learning.
Whether itβs coding, engineering, science, or design, students donβt just follow instructions β they understand how and why their project works through real experimentation and problem-solving.
Technology, science, creativity, and business are shaping the future. Most learning programs only introduce concepts. STEM 101 gives students the chance to build, experiment, create, and apply what they learn through hands-on projects connected to real-world skills.
STEM 101 kits are designed around practical learning experiences and future-ready pathways, not just activities.
This kit is designed for middle and high school students β roughly grades 6 through 12, ages 11 to 18. No prior experience with robotics or coding is required. The online course starts from the very beginning.
None. The 1-year online course included with every kit starts from zero. Students learn programming concepts as they build β the project teaches the skill, not the other way around.
All hardware components and build materials are included, along with your 1-year course login. No additional kit purchases are required. Some common household items like scissors may be needed during the build.
Every kit includes a full year of access to the STEM 101 online course platform β step-by-step video lessons, career-connected project context for each skill, and a parent and teacher resource library. Students work at their own pace.
Yes. STEM 101 kits are standards-aligned, meaning they're designed to meet the kinds of educational standards schools and districts use to evaluate materials. They work for classroom use, after-school programs, and homeschool settings.
The video course walks through every build and programming step clearly. If you hit a wall, the STEM 101 support library is included in your course access. Most students find they can work through challenges independently β that problem-solving process is part of the learning design.
