STEM 101 partners with Helix Electric to introduce students to in demand careers in electrical contracting.
Victor Fuchs, President of Helix Electric joins Russell Mickelson, CEO of STEM 101 to announce partnership to introduce Clark County students to in demand careers in electrical contracting.
The STEM Academy, Inc. aka STEM 101 is working with the State of Nevada to build a bridge between business and education resulting in targeted workforce pipeline development. As a national non-profit, STEM 101 partners with companies to develop exciting, real-world projects which result in effective education outreach, community relation and workforce pipeline development. Project resources are designed to inspire student pursuit of advanced STEM education opportunities and qualify adults for potential employment. Resources can be utilized for in-school, after-school, summer programs and workforce connection services. In addition to completing a project connected to a participating company, students also learn about the culture and important role the company plays in the community. STEM 101 works with state government, education and industry leaders to ensure project resources use inside of public eduction and workforce connection services.
Examples of companies we are currently working with in Nevada include: Ainsworth, Bank of Nevada, College of Southern Nevada, Helix Electric, Martin Harris Construction, Nellis Air Force Base, Now Foods, Renown Health Network, United Medical Center and WVC.
